Does IELTS required to Study in the UK ?

To submit IELTS Score to any UK Universities & Colleges is the most common way to meet
English language requirement. Most of the UK Institutions are also accepting other English
Tests like PTE, TOEFL etc. towards their English language requirement. UKVI happy to
consider your Student Visa Application even without any of these English Test Results if you
have valid CAS.

Who is exempted from IELTS for Study in UK ? What is English Waiver for Study in UK ?

Every Higher Education Institutions in UK have their own way of assessing English language
requirement for international students. Many of the UK Universities are considering your
Standard 12 English Subject marks to offer admission in Bachelor and Master programs, and
they need more than 65 or 70 Marks. Few of the UK Universities are offering admission to their
Master programs based on your Bachelor study completed in English medium.

Can I Work in the UK While Studying there ?

Students with a valid Tier4 Student Visa who are enrolled in full-time degree-level studies are
allowed to work in the UK. Students can work up to a maximum of 20 hours per week during
term time and full time during academic breaks while their stay in UK on Student Visa. UKVI has
defined a "week" as "seven-day period starting on a Monday and ending on a Sunday".

Can I stay in UK after completion of Study ?

A Graduate visa gives you permission to stay in the UK for at least 2 years after successfully
completing a Bachelor of Master program in the UK. If you have completed PHD or Doctoral
program, you are eligible for Graduate visa of 3 years.

How much bund / bank balance is required to apply for Student Visa of UK ?

All International Students need to show fund to support first year of tuition fees as mentioned in
Admission Letter and living cost for first year.
If you have paid full tuition fees to UK University / College for first year which is confirmed in
CAS, you don’t need to show any fund towards tuition fees. If you have paid it partly, you have
to show the fund for unpaid amount of tuition fees in your Student Visa application.
As per current UKVI guideline, you need to show £ 13347 (£1483 per month) if your Institute is
located in Inner London and £ 10224 (£1136 per month) if your Institute is located in Outer
London towards living expenses.

What is the 28-day rule for Student Visa of UK ?

The required amount of fund including balance of tuition fees and applicable amount of living
expenses must be shown in Saving Account with Bank in the name of student or parents. The
said amount of fund must be held in respective account for more than 28 days to get eligible to
apply for CAS and submit Student Visa application to UKVI. The said amount of fund can also
be shown in the form of Education Loan which can meet the specific guideline of UKVI.

What is CAS ?

CAS stands for 'Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies'. You need to have a CAS issued by UK
University / College to include in Tier4 Student Visa Application. The CAS is an electronic
record that UK University / College produces from Sponsor Management System for UKVI to
refer to the details of International Students.

When should I apply for CAS ?

UK University / College can issue CAS up to six months in advance of the start of the program
of study, If you are applying for a Tier4 Visa from outside the UK. UK University / College can
issue CAS up to 3 months in advance of the start of the program of study, if you are applying for
Tier4 from within the UK.

How much is the living cost for Indian students in UK ?

The average cost of living in UK for Indian students is between INR 60,000 – 1,00,000 per
month. The cost of living can vary depending on the city you choose to live in and your lifestyle
choices.
