Do I need IELTS to Study in Poland ?

International Students are required to take any English language test and provide a
certificate which shows they have an acceptable level of English. Most of the Malaysian
Institutions accept IELTS, TOEFL & PTE. They need 5.5 Band IELTS equivalent and high
depends on level of program. Most Polish Institutions accept international students without
such English tests if they have completed their schooling or bachelor in English medium and
submit a letter to prove it. Few Polish Institutions also confirm English requirement of
international students by offering their own English test or by conducting an interview.

At public universities, both Polish and EU/EEA & Switzerland students do not pay tuition fees
for degrees taught in the Polish language at Public Universities of Poland. All other study

Although Polish is the official language of Poland, English is commonly spoken and
understood in the most areas and cities of Poland. You don’t need to know Polish language

any Polish Institute. However, you must learn Polish language if you are planning to enroll
for study programs taught in Polish language.

Can I stay in Poland after study?

Poland offers Post Study Work visa or Temporary Residence Permit to International
Students, and it is granted for 1 to 3 years.

During Post Study Work visa, if students receive full time job offer from any Polish employer,
they can extend their Work Visa further. If they stay in Poland for 5 years or more on

family members and immigration department is quite reluctant for the same. However, when

join them in Poland.

All International Students need to show fund to support first year of tuition fees as mentioned
in Admission Letter and living cost for first year.
If you have paid full tuition fees to Polish Institute for first year which is confirmed in Letter of
Acceptance or through Official Receipt, you don’t need to show any fund towards tuition
fees. If you have paid it partly, you have to show the fund for unpaid amount of tuition fees in
your Student Visa application.
As per current guidelines, you need to show Euro 12000 (Euro 1000 per month) towards
living expenses to support your Student Visa Application.
The total for funds to be shown (balance amount of tuition fees + living expenses) for
Student Visa Application of Poland must be 1 to 3 months old and held in the Saving
Account of student or parents.
