The average tuition fee for international students varied greatly depends on the level of study
program and type of institute.
Undergraduate Bachelor & Diploma Programs : MYR 20,000 – 70,000

Malaysia's excellent educational system makes it a great place for international students to
study. Numerous academic programs offered by Malaysian higher education institutions are at
par with global standards. All Institutions enrolling international students in Malaysia follows a
streamlined Malaysian Qualifications Framework.
International Students are required to take any English language test and provide a certificate
which shows they have an acceptable level of English. Most of the Malaysian Institutions accept
IELTS, TOEFL & PTE. They need 5.0 Band IELTS equivalent and high depends on level of
program. Many Institutions accept international students without such English tests if they have
completed their schooling or bachelor in English medium and submit a letter to prove it.
In Australia, the most sought-after study programs are Computing & IT, Engineering, Nursing,
Healthcare, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Psychology, and Hospitality.
International students studying at public or private higher education institutions in Malaysia are
allowed to work part-time for a maximum of 20 hours per week during semester breaks or
holidays of more than 7 days. They can work at restaurants, petrol kiosks, mini markets and
hotels as long as their student passes remain valid. They are now allowed to work as cashier,
singer, masseur, musician or Guest Relation Officer. International Students need prior approval
from the Department of Immigration to work part time.
Malaysia has introduced a package of visa reforms under its new Visa Liberalization Plan. The
initiatives include a new Graduate Pass that allows degree graduates (and their dependents) to
stay on in Malaysia for up to a year to further their studies, travel, or work part-time. This is
applicable to Indian student.
